By Train:  Visakhapatnam (Vizag) is the nearest major railway station, and it's well-connected to various cities across India. From Visakhapatnam, you can take a train to Araku, enjoying a scenic journey as the train climbs through the Eastern Ghats. The Araku railway station is at the heart of the valley.

By Road: 

  • From Visakhapatnam: Araku Valley is accessible by road from Visakhapatnam. Regular bus services operate between Visakhapatnam and Araku. You can also hire a taxi or drive yourself via NH-516, which offers a picturesque route through the hills.
  • From other nearby cities: Buses and taxis are available from nearby towns and cities like Vizianagaram, Anantapur, Hyderabad, and others, connecting to Araku Valley.

Self-Drive:

If you prefer driving, the road trip from Visakhapatnam to Araku is scenic, with winding roads offering beautiful views. Car rentals are available in Visakhapatnam for a self-drive option
