Day 1
Delhi to Shimla (385 Km s 10 Hrs)

On arrival pick up from Airport or Railway station. Depart for Shimla. On the way visit Pinjore Garden, Timber Trail. On arrival check in hotel. Dinner at hotel . Overnight stay in Shimla

Day 2
Shimla

After Breakfast Excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for ts Himalayan National Park, Poney and Yak Ride and one can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri, after lunch sightseeing of various places in and around. Shimla mosques built in (1830), Vice regal Lodge built in (1885), Christ Church built in (1844), The Gaiety Theatre- the first beauty contest of world was supposed to start (1887), The Grind lays Bank (1912)- the world wide bank started by Robert Melville Grind lay, The Scandal Point and The famous Shopping Plaza of the North The Mall. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Shimla

Day 3
Shimla to Manali (265 Km & 8 Hrs).

After breakfast check out hotel depart for Manali. On the way visit Pandho Dem, Hanogi Mata Temple. On arrival check in hotel. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Manali

Day 4
Manali (Local S/S).

After Breakfast sightseeing of places in and around Manali, Like Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery, Club House and evening shopping at the local market Mall Road. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay in Manali

Day 5
Rohtang Pass (100 K.m Round Tour)

Excursion to Rohatang Pass. Situated at an altitude of 3979 mtrs above sea level and 51 kms outside Manali is the mighty Rohtang Pass - the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti valley. It affords a wide panoramic view of the mountains. Here one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendor. At the top of the pass the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul valley. Dinner at hotel, overnight stay in Manali

Day 6
Manali - Nagar - Kullu - Manikaran:

After B/F Check out hotel depart for Kullu. On the way visit JagatSukh Temple, Naggar, Rorick Art Gallery, Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple, Kullu shawl weaving Industries & Manikaran Sahib Guru Dwara (Hot Sulpher Water & Sikh Piligrimage). Check in Hotel at Kullu. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Manali

Day 7
Kullu - Delhi (540 kms/ 12hrs.):-

After Break Fast, depart for Delhi at 7.30 A.M., on arrival Check-in-Hotel. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi

After breakfast Check out hotel depart for Delhi local sightseeing & Drop to Railway Station or Airport.

Day 9
Manali - Chandigarh (310 Kms 10 hrs):-

After breakfast check out hotel. Depart for Chandigarh on arrival check in hotel. After fresh up visit local sightseeing Rose Garden, Rock Garden, Sukhana Lake, 17 sector market. Overnight stay Chandigarh.

Day 10
Manali - Delhi (585 kms/ 14hrs.):

After breakfast depart for Delhi at 7.30 A.M., on arrival Check-in-Hotel, Overnight Stay Delhi.

Delhi

After breakfast check out hotel & depart for Delhi local sightseeing & Drop to Railway Station or Airport.

    How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

    Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

    How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

    On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

    What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

    The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

    What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

    Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

    Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

    No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

    What about internet access?

    Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

    Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

    Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

    How much do guides and porters cost?

    For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
