For really getting to know Ladakh well and to enjoy the experience, make sure to spend upwards of a week here. A tour of 10 to 11 days should be enough for you to enjoy a relaxing yet adventurous holiday in Ladakh.
The two routes that lead to Leh, the Srinagar-Leh route and the Manali-Leh route, are both great in terms of scenery and places to stop for the night. However, the Manali-Leh road reaches higher altitudes faster, and is also a little bit more crowded than its counterpart. The Srinagar-Leh route is ideal for beginners and for those visiting a high-altitude destination for the first time.
Based on the places that you want to explore on your Ladakh tour, you will have to shell out anything between INR 15,500 for 5 nights, 6 days to INR 60,000 for 6 nights and 7 days. The cost is based on where you stay for the night and what places you visit during the day.
Due to the gradual increase of tourism in Ladakh, there are many restaurants in Leh that have opened up that caters to travellers needs.
